This is off the beaten track for you and its nice to see you take this route, the long exposure against the sunlight has worked well, the old woman appears almost ghost like and that adds all the more to the image.
The only downside I can see is the breakup within the higher branches of the tree, I presume this is due to movement such as wind, it has though caused some aberration in the light, I would suggest putting this through Lightroom and play with the levels in the Chromatic Abberation tool with it set on "All edges"
I first saw this shot on flickr and was wondering if i'll find it on dA. Now i got it, and i'm very happy about it. It's in my ! I really love the light and the feeling of this shot.
Yeah, i think it was on flickr, but it's also possible that i'm a bit confused, because it's quiet late and i'm still learning for 2 exams tomorrow. Maybe it was kinda deja-vu or something. But i swear i've already seen this picture -.-' sorry if i upset you! Didn't want it. And finally i hope you understand what i mean, because my english is not the best...
Why do you call it shades of time? I think it's an awesome title, it applies really well to this picture, and so I'm just curious as to why you chose it.

Its still a superb shot regardless.
